Tailgate Cook-Off

THINGS TO KNOW

  • All categories must be cooked on butane burners, camping stoves or charcoal pits.
  • Teams are required to prepare a minimum of 150 8oz cups for serving and 6 6oz cups for judging.
  • Teams will be given 5 hours cooking time.
  • Food categories will be judged on aroma, taste and texture.
  • Trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place in each category.
  • Grand Champion will be given to the food item that receives the overall highest score from the judges.
  • People’s choice will be given to the team with the most likes of their dish by category. Each team will have a box at the ticket booth for the spectators to cast their vote.
  • Teams will have a 20×20 booth area.
  • Tents, cooking trailers and campers will be allowed.
  • Teams are responsible for their own garbage disposal.
