Swim Lessons - Parent & Child ( Ages: 6 Months-35 Months)
Each class is led by a YMCA Certified Swim Instructor. Accompanied by a parent, infants and toddlers learn:
- How to be comfortable in the water
- Swim readiness skills
- Building confidence in the water
- Parental education about water safety, drowning prevention and supervision.
**Due to unpredictable weather we may have make up days. Our goal will be to provide the full session of 6 lessons.
Parent & Child: 2 times per week
This program is for infants & toddlers 6 months – 35 months. This stage will focus on exploring body positions, blowing bubbles, and fundamental safety aquatic skills.
Benchmark skills that will be practiced during Parent and Child Lessons are:
- Blowing bubbles with mouth and nose
- Front and back tow with bubbles
- Front and back float while assisted
- Rolling while assisted
- Monkey crawl
- Water exits and entries while assisted
These classes will take place twice a week for four weeks, and include eight 30 minute sessions.

- Rolling while assisted
- Water exits and entries together
These classes will take place four times a week for two weeks, and include eight 30 minute sessions.
